JOB DESCRIPTION :

Role and responsibilities:

• Coordinate with material master data stewards for the purpose of creation, review, and maintenance of data within the SAP MDG to ensure completeness and adherence to standards                   
• Monitor adherence to published policies & standards, processes & guidelines related to material master data management and governance                 
• Champion material master data management focusing on business benefits, fostering the goal of data re-use, and articulates the strategic significance of consistent, accurate and reliable information to executives and associates                   
• Ensure the appropriateness of requests for master data configuration changes; researches whether element already exists to meet the requirements of the request; internally vets requests cross functionally with respective BU’s prior to submission            
• Address issues of master data definition, metadata management, data standards and data migration including data profiling, validation, clean-up and remediation, and source to target mapping, monitors health of SAP MDG Golden Client registry to keep check on maintenance of mapping of respective data in individual SAP ECC instances                      
• To determine appropriate data values (e.g. Standard UOM) when conflict arises                  
• Propose and direct initiatives as necessary for periodic material master data cleansing and maintenance projects; define match, merge, unique identification, and golden record rules           
• Effectively communicate changes to systems and/or master data policy to all affected parties and facilitate development of communication plans, implementation plans, etc. when required             
• Identify master data process automation opportunities and implement them         
• Schedule regular material master data governance meetings with material master data stewards and BU Domain Guardians’, to review topics of concern, discuss process improvement opportunities and communicate items of interest
• Knowledge of SAP MM, SD, PP & QM processe

 

Qualifications

 

Educational Qualification:                         

• BE / BTECH in Mechanical / Electrical engineering preferably & SAP training or certification 

                                  

Experiences:                           

• 8-10 years in material master data management
• Experience in process improvement and robotic process automation
• SAP MDG and Information Steward implementation"
