JOB DESCRIPTION :

Intern - EHS:

Essential Responsibilities

The candidate will perform or assist EHS team in day to day EHS and security operations.

These include but not limited to :

Manage EHS related records – Training, EHS Concerns, Compliance tasks, monitoring records, observations and findings.

Coordinate and participate EHS / HealthAhead training and promotion activities.

Involve in reviewing new machines and processes to ensure risks are properly assess and control measures are in place prior to use on-site.

Review site’s waste stream and develop waste reduction plan to comply with mandatory reporting of waste data and submission of waste reduction plans as required under Environmental Public Health Act (EPHA).

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Studies preferred

Assistant Engineer :

Essential Responsibilities:

• To ensure workplace & self-safety to create safety driven culture (2 concerns/person/month)
• To drive & complete the production plan by maintaining information flow in upstream & downstream flows To generate ideas to improve productivity & translate them to the kaizen (1/month implemented)
• To work towards material consumption accuracy & improvement in part presentation Improve the skillsets from basic operations e.g. tightening, basic assy. to welding, wire crimping Well versed with understanding of the drawing, BOM, MI, parts, lean concepts etc which are important in daily production Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Able to handle equipments & tools appropriate for operations including tugger, EOT, X-Y Rail Responsible for maintaining accurate traceability records of assemblies
• Should have acted as an star cap or Captain of a HPT

Qualification requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Branch Work experience of min 3 years in GE as an APB with Special skills like Oracle, Quality KPI Management- MSA management, Standard work management, Participation in Kaizen event, Reduction of cycle time by 15% in any activity with projects, daily management of materials & people for absenteeism & production scheduling is required.

Desired Characteristics:

• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide solutions
• Strong hands on experience in performing quality inspection checks process control checks & working per GE-Aviation specific customer P specs, GE visual inspection of finished & purchased product norms.
• Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously and Ability to work in a matrix organization.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of AS 9100 , AMS , S1000 / S1002 standards.
• Knowledge of Aviation / Aerospace NDT standards , ASTM Standards.
• Knowledge of Basic Lean and Six Sigma Methodology
