JOB DESCRIPTION :

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Support technical pre-sales activities
• Installation of new equipment
• Communicate and resolve site issues to ensure successful sign off with customer
• Overall responsibility of deploying and managing technician(s) activities in the designated region
• Provide exceptional customer service to new and existing customers. Position requires mechanical, electrical and electronic knowledge and skills to perform necessary service and instruct others on maintaining equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment when necessary to ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Perform system audits of Nordson equipment
• Provide training on Nordson products to customers
• Interact regularly with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and assist in establishing preventative maintenance schedules
• Acquire and manage service contracts
• Maintain detailed knowledge of Nordson products and policies and follows procedures
• Provide feedback to management on market information gathered in the field, including any related activities by competition and of changes or improvements in Nordson products that may be desirable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering or Three-year Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical with at minimum two years of full time experience in the Capital goods service field
• Flair for a field service job is essential
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and dimensional drawings required.
• Basic electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience with PLC’s and robotics is beneficial.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in local language – Tamil,
• Should also be able to communicate in English (Read/Speak/Write)
• Additional language preferred: Hindi
• Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reporting and organizational Paperwork required.
• Proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience in the packaging and automotive industry is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work remotely and travel extensively, in the designated region
• Demonstrated ability to learn. Develop competent technical skills and knowledge in Nordson products. Attend training sessions on new products/technologies to ensure that knowledge and skills are up-to-date and relevant to the industry
• Strong command of spoken and written English
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
