Role description

Job responsibilities

a. Overall objective of the role.

1. Do Knock out Detailing and Development of all Plate items of Fabrication drawing with all suitable cutting, shrinkage, bending allowances.

2. Provide Load charts, Detailing Sketches, Templates for complete fabrication drawing.

3. Do CNC Nesting Program with latest software (SigmaNest / equivalent) with the detailing sketches and release for Plate cutting as per Monthly Plan.

4. Check the correctness and completeness of all the items detailed and nested prior to release for cutting.

5. Evaluation & adoption of new technology and best practices for manufacturing process.

b) Major task & responsibilities

1. Provide monthly Plan to detailing and nesting team.

2. Identify all critical items that need development / Layout.

3. Check all critical items in AutoCAD / CREO for correctness. Check for bending line, radius of bend, Bevelling etc.

4. Make / Update SOP of Detailing activity by capturing learnings.

5. Resolve detailing input sketch issues / errors with Detailers and external Detailing Vendors.

6. Identify dwg / BOM issues and get it solved.

7. Ensure the max Yield in the Nested Programs.

Skills

Technical Competencies

Knowledge of Item Detailing, development, layout making

Knowledge of Various cutting Process & Technologies

Knowledge of CNC Nesting Programming

AutoCAD & CREO Software

Other details
