JOB DESCRIPTION :

Candidate Specification

 Essential Candidate Requirements:

• To apply you must have a strong interest and commitment to developing your career as a hydraulic modeller.
• You will have studied a hydrology, engineering, software, or math based degree.
• Previous experience of using water modelling and GIS software packages such as Bentley SewerGEMS, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM, ArcGIS, MapInfo or QGIS would be an advantage.

To be successful you must demonstrate:

• 0-1 years of experience with focus on hydraulic modelling in their studies or work experience
• B.E in Civil Engineering and MS/ M.Tech in Water Resources / Environmental Engineering from a recognized University
• Good report writing, well-developed interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude to work in team
• Good understanding of hydraulic and hydrologic principals governing closed conduit (storm and sewer), fluvial, and coastal processes
• Solid hydrology and hydraulics knowledge, numeracy and accuracy
• Experience in the use of GIS using a variety of GIS packages
• Systematic logical approach to problem solving
• Able to work effectively with supervision and independently to meet client needs and deadlines
• Able to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues
