JOB DESCRIPTION :

Barun Corp is hiring a full time Structural Engineer to support the residential and commercial design & engineering of solar/PV system projects. You will be a full time salaried employee of the company and will work 100% remotely.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is nimble and can manage a high volume of work while maintaining integrity in what they do. We are looking for someone who can work at least half day overlap with team members in Eastern Time Zone in U.S.

What You Will Do

• Perform structural analysis and prepare structural calculation packages for residential and commercial solar projects. (mostly wood & steel)
• Work with other disciplines, contractors and clients to address RFIs and provide engineering support.
• Structural PV system racking engineering: Hardware load capacity analysis based on wind uplift force.
• Review installation photos and generate post installation reports for PV solar projects.

Must Have(s)

• American Code Application Experience (ASCE7, IEBC, IBC, IRC, NDS, ACI318)
• 3+ years of working experience as a structural engineer preferably in PV Solar Industry
• Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines and clients.
• Fluent in English (Reading, Writing & Speaking)
• Ability to meet deadlines without much supervision

Nice to Have(s)

• 2+ years’ experience in PV solar industry
• Proficient in engineering software such as RISA 3D and Woodworks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong working knowledge of wood structures
• Experience reviewing and approving plan sets for construction and working with RFI’s during the construction process
