Due to continuing growth, we are seeking an upcoming or recent graduate for an Engineering Student with interest in Surface Water Resource projects for our brand new office space in Waterloo, ON office.

This position will provide you with the opportunity to join our innovative, supportive, and dynamic water group. You will be working on a variety of infrastructure projects for both public and private clients including stormwater management design, stream restoration/rehabilitation design, surface water monitoring, mine water management, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, and technical report writing.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Responsibilities:

• Summarize and interpret data collected as part of the field investigations and monitoring studies with guidance from senior design team members
• Develop detailed design documents including technical drawings, specifications, calculations and contract documents with guidance from senior design team members
• Develop, coordinate and implement field investigation programs performed by subcontractors or internal technicians and other field personnel
• Technical report development including inspections and assessments, asset management, health and safety, environmental assessments, and detailed design reports
• Potential for construction management activities including on-site inspections, construction oversight, and construction contract administration support

Experience, Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Strong technical report writing and communication skills
• Strong computer skills including experience with the Microsoft suite, and familiarity with AutoCAD
• Experience and interest in infrastructure projects with a focus on water resource systems
• Working towards Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering (Environmental, Civil or Mechanical)
• 0.5-2 years of relatable co-op experience, ideally on design and/or construction of stormwater or natural channel systems
• Working towards EIT registration or P.Eng. license
